Our Enterprise Project - Mrs Hygiene Queen

| View Show | Create Your Own

Last year we did an enterprise project because we wanted to make something that we could  sell at our May Fair and make profit. Mrs Jamieson had a friend who had a kitchen cloth dolly which she showed us. We thought we could do our own version and then sell them.

First we needed to decide the name of our company and the doll.We decided we would call our company Kool Kids Krafts and the doll, Mrs Hygiene Queen.

Next we chose some pupils to go down the street and price the materials. Then we worked out what was the cheapest shop to buy the products from.

When we got the materials we began to make the dolls but first we took the doll apart to find out how it was put together. When we had done that,we sorted out who was doing what job and then we  started to make them. Our class looked like a factory while we were making them.

Our hardest job by far, was pricing the dolls because if we made them too expensive   nobody would buy them and if we made them too cheap we wouldn’t make a profit.

Amazing Abstract Exploding Shapes Art

| View Show | Create Your Own

We liked this kind of art because it was a lot of fun. This is what we did.

Firstly we got a coloured sheet of paper.

Secondly we took a black shape which could be  any shape at all.

Then from this shape we cut out other funny shapes and lifted the shape outwards. All the cut out pieces had to be used. You couldn’t throw any bits away.

Finally we stuck all the pieces in the right place. That is what we call Amazing Abstract Art !!!!!!!!!!!

Wax and Chalk Prints

| View Show | Create Your Own

First you get some plain paper which has been folded in half and some coloured chalks.

Second you have to pick contrasting bright colours of chalk and make shapes and colour them in with a thick layer on one half of the paper.

Third when you have done that take the dark wax crayon and go over the chalk in a thick layer.

Fourth when you have done that you fold the top of the paper carefully and draw a face or something on the opposite side of the wax and chalk.

Fifth you open it up and you will see the two pictures.

How Are We Smart ?

This is some of our class P6/2 talking about learning styles. We did a lesson on this in class and then we told the school about it at Assembly. It was really interesting because we found out that we are all clever and learn in completely different ways. After you have watched our video maybe you could let us know what your learning style is ?

Space Odyssey

Last year in music we were doing a play on Space and making the music to go with it. Everyone had different instruments and jobs. It took a few weeks to do and it was really fun. It was about astronauts going into space and we were using instruments to act it out. When we were finished we preformed it to another class in the school. They were all very impressed. On digital blue we made a film to go with it. Daniel and Christofer did weird alien voices and we all had a part in the film. We got to show our film to Peter Peacock, he was the Education Minister at that time.
We hope you enjoy it!!
